D3. SCOPE OF WORK

D3.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of supply and installation of new
Emergency Backup Diesel Generator at Fire Station 1 – 65 Ellen Street, as per drawings and
specifications.

D3.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:
(a) Supply and installation of new Emergency Backup Diesel Generator and all associated equipment
as per drawings and specifications.
(b) Upgrades to existing electrical service as per drawings and specifications.
(c) New smoke/CO/heat detection system as per drawings and specifications.

D3.3 The following shall apply to the Services:
(a) City of Winnipeg Green Building Policy: New City-Owned Buildings and major additions;

B3. SITE INVESTIGATION

B3.1 Further to C3.1, the Contract Administrator or an authorized representative will be
available at the Site at 10:00 am on December 8, 2022 to provide Bidders access to the Site.

B3.2 The Bidder shall not be entitled to rely on any information or interpretation received
at the Site investigation unless that information or interpretation is the Bidder’s direct
observation, or is provided by the Contract Administrator in writing.

B3.3 The Bidder is responsible for inspecting the Site, the nature of the Work to be done
and all conditions that might affect his/her Bid or his/her performance of the Work, and shall
assume all risk for conditions existing or arising in the course of the Work which have been or
could have been determined through such inspection.
