D3. SCOPE OF WORK

D3.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of the installation of water mains
on Eade Crescent, Leatherwood Crescent, Peters Bay, Leighton Avenue and Stapleton Street all within
the City of Winnipeg.

D3.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:
(a) Installation of approximately 880m of 150-200mm diameter PVC water main pipe by trenchless
method;
(b) Abandonment of existing water mains as required;
(c) Removal/abandonment of existing hydrant assemblies and gate valves as required;
(d) Installation of valves and hydrant assemblies;
(e) Reconnection or renewal of water service connections;
(f) Restoration of pavement and boulevard areas.

D3.3 The following shall apply to the Services:
(a) City of Winnipeg Green Building Policy: New City-Owned Buildings and major additions;

B3. SITE INVESTIGATION

B3.1 Further to C3.1, the Bidder may view the Site without making an appointment.

B3.2 The Bidder/Proponent is responsible for inspecting the Site, the nature of the Work to
be done and all conditions that might affect their Bid/Proposal or their performance of the Work,
and shall assume all risk for conditions existing or arising in the course of the Work which have
been or could have been determined through such inspection.
