D3.          SCOPE OF WORK

D3.1        The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of:
(a)   Asphalt Pavement Rehabilitation and Associated Works
(i)     Alwood Crescent from Egesz Street to Egesz Street
(ii)     Garden Grove Drive from Fairgrove Bay to Fairgrove Bay
(iii)     Gaynor Place from Alwood Crescent to End
(b)   Asphalt Pavement Resurfacing and Associated Works
(i)     Benbow Road from Egesz Street to Burrows Avenue
(ii)     Channing Street from Burrows Avenue to Wendon Bay
(iii)     Charter Drive from Egesz Street to Benbow Road
(iv)     Groverdale Avenue from Garden Grove Drive to Burdick Place
(c)    Concrete Pavement Rehabilitation and Associated Works
(i)     Bunting Street from Church Avenue to Inkster Boulevard
(d)   Construction of 100mm Concrete Sidewalk and Associated Works
(i)     Park Lane Avenue from Approximately 367m South of Selkirk Avenue to Selkirk Avenue
(e)   Sewer/Manhole Repairs and Associated Works
(i)     Alwood Crescent from Egesz Street to Egesz Street
(ii)     Bunting Street from Church Avenue to Inkster Boulevard
(iii)     Channing Street from Burrows Avenue to Wendon Bay

D3.2        The major components of the Work are as follows:
(a)   Asphalt Pavement Rehabilitation and Associated Works
(i)     Planing of existing lip curb;
(ii)     Removal of existing curb and gutter as required;
(iii)     Renewal of existing curb and gutter as required;
(iv)     Removal of existing asphalt pavement as required;
(v)     Complete required manhole repairs;
(vi)     Abandon existing catch pits (Gaynor Place & Garden Grove Drive);
(vii)     Installation of catch basins and sewer service pipes (Gaynor Place & Garden Grove Drive);
(viii)     Construction of barrier curb;
(ix)     Construction of curb ramps;
(x)     Renewal of curb ramp;
(xi)     Construction of barrier curb and gutter;
(xii)     Construction of modified barrier curb and gutter;
(xiii)     Construction of curb ramp curb and gutter;
(xiv)     Renewal of concrete approaches and tie-ins as required;
(xv)     Full depth repairs of existing concrete slabs as required;
(xvi)     Tree removal;
(xvii)     Excavation for new 100mm concrete sidewalk;
(xviii)     Compaction of existing sub-grade for new 100mm concrete sidewalk;
(xix)     Construction of new 100mm concrete sidewalk (Garden Grove Drive);
(xx)     Renewal of existing sidewalks as required;
(xxi)     Installation of detectable warning surface tiles;
(xxii)     Regrading of existing sidewalk blocks as required;
(xxiii)     Regrading of existing interlocking paving stones as required;
(xxiv)     Adjustment of existing pavement and boulevard structures;
(xxv)     Asphalt patching;
(xxvi)     Catch basin cleaning;
(xxvii)     Boulevard restoration and sod;
(xxviii)     Installation of pavement repair fabric;
(xxix)     Planing of existing asphalt as required; and
(xxx)     Construction of asphalt overlay (average thickness 75mm).

(c)    Concrete Pavement Rehabilitation and Associated Works
(i)     Planing of existing asphalt at intersections as required;
(ii)     Excavation for new 100mm concrete sidewalk;
(iii)     Compaction of existing sub-grade for new 100mm concrete sidewalk;
(iv)     Construction of new 100mm concrete sidewalk (Bunting Street);
(v)     Renewal of existing sidewalks as required;
(vi)     Installation of detectable warning surface tiles;
(vii)     Removal of existing curb as required;
(viii)     Complete required manhole and sewer repairs;
(ix)     Abandon existing drainage inlets;
(x)     Abandon existing catch pit;
(xi)     Installation of catch pits and drainage connection pipes;
(xii)     Full depth repairs of existing slabs and joints;
(xiii)     Renewal of concrete approach;
(xiv)     Adjustment of existing pavement and boulevard structures;
(xv)     Renewal of existing barrier curb as required;
(xvi)     Construction of modified barrier curb;
(xvii)     Construction of curb ramps;
(xviii)     Tree stump grinding;
(xix)     Boulevard restoration and sod; and
(xx)     Construction of asphalt overlay (average thickness 80mm).
(d)   Construction of 100mm Concrete Sidewalk and Associated Works
(i)     Excavation;
(ii)     Compaction of existing sub-grade;
(iii)     Placement of base course material;
(iv)     Adjustment of existing boulevard structures;
(v)     Construction of 100mm concrete sidewalk;
(vi)     Renewal of existing sidewalk as required;
(vii)     Installation of detectable warning surface tiles;
(viii)     Renewal of existing curb as required;
(ix)     Renewal of existing curb ramps;
(x)     Construction of curb ramps; and
(xi)     Boulevard restoration and sod.
(e)   Sewer/Manhole Repairs and Associated Works
(i)     External point repair of existing sewer service and reconnections;
(ii)     Sewer service video inspection;
(iii)     Replace pre-cast concrete risers;
(iv)     Patching pre-cast concrete risers;
(v)     Patching brick risers;
(vi)     Sewer manhole frame and cover replacement;
(vii)     Patching of pipe and manhole interface; and
(viii) Remove and replace benching of existing manholes.
