D3. SCOPE OF WORK
D3.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of the installation of water mains on Aberdeen Avenue, Back lane of Keewatin Street, Brazier Street, Elgin Avenue West, Erin Street, McKenzie Street, Notre Dame Avenue, Richard Avenue, Sinclair Street and St. Matthews Avenue within the City of Winnipeg.
D3.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:
(a) Installation of approximately 1232m of 150mm to 350mm diameter PVC water main pipe by trenchless methods;
(b) Installation of approximately 64m of 400mm steel casing pipe;
(c) Abandonment of existing water mains as required;
(d) Abandonment of existing valve pits as required;
(e) Removal/abandonment of existing hydrant assemblies and gate valves as required;
(f) Installation of valves and hydrant assemblies;
(g) Reconnection or renewal of water service connections;
(h) Restoration of pavement and boulevard areas.
