Description

1. 1. Work of the Contract comprises the Project, for the Green Valley School, Hanover School Division Boiler Replacement. Project Work includes provision of all required labour & materials for a fully operational heating, cooling and ventilation system. Work includes but is not limited to the following:
    1. Demolition, and removal of existing boilers, natural gas and hydronic piping systems, controls, sheet metal, housekeeping pads, supports, asbestos material and electrical components as indicated in the tender documents.
    2. Provide and install new hot water piping and all associated valves, fittings, insulation and supports as required and as shown on drawings.
    3. Provide control works indicated on drawings and within specifications; tie-in new control systems to BMS.
    4. Provide new condensing boilers, pumps, hydronic piping system, sheet metal work, controls and associated mechanical and electrical systems as shown in the drawings and noted in the specifications.
    5. Construct all concrete housekeeping pads within boiler room as shown in the drawings.
    6. Tie-in to natural gas piping and provide new gas piping to new condensing boilers, hot water heaters and/or described.
    7. Provide services of manufacturer’s trained representative to assist in the commissioning and burner set-up of new boilers B-1 and B-2.
    8. Provide and install separate price items and system ancillaries if accepted by Owner.
    9. Provide the required bonds and liability insurance to ensure such specified assurances to the Owner.
    10. Coordination with equipment supplier(s) to schedule delivery, unloading and safe storage of equipment.
    11. Layout of the work for construction of complete system and associated works as noted in drawings and specifications.
    12. Protect existing foundations, superstructure, interior finishes, plant and equipment during construction.
    13. Perform all works indicated on Mechanical and Electrical drawings and/or specifications.
    14. Clean-up of project and site upon completion.
    15. Repair all defects identified during the first year after completion of Work.
  2. Division of the Work among subcontractors, suppliers or vendors is solely the Contractor's responsibility. Neither the Owner nor Consultant assumes any responsibility to act as an arbiter to establish subcontract terms between sectors or disciplines of work.
  3. Contractor will be responsible for providing temporary pumping arrangement should equipment lead times affect the construction schedule such that the substantial performance deadline cannot be met.
