General:
.1 Asbestos abatement works to be completed prior to the commencement of the site constructions works of this Contract. Abatement works to generally include,
.1 Piping and ductwork insulation,
.2 Mechanical equipment including boilers,
.3 Boiler breeching,
.4 Boiler internal refractory.
.2 Cutting/Patching as required to facilitate project works,
.3 Roof/floor penetrations as required for new mechanical equipment, piping, and ductwork
.4 Provide new housekeeping pad for new boilers and equipment as shown on drawings.
Mechanical:
.1 Demolition and off-site removal of one (1) hot-water heating boiler and associated ancillary equipment including associated piping and valving; boiler to be disassembled to allow removal through standard doorway.
.2 Demolition of existing hot-water boiler venting.
.3 Demolition and off-site removal of existing hot water piping within the mechanical rooms, to the extents shown on the drawings.
.4 Removal of existing hot water distribution pumps,
.5 Electrical disconnect of existing boiler and all related heating equipment.
.6 Removal of gas piping as required to accommodate new boiler installation.
.7 Supply, installation and commissioning, including Office of the Fire Commissioner Inspections and Technical Services Manitoba (OFC ITSM) supervised start-up, of two (2) new natural gas-fired, forced draft, condensing, hot water boiler complete with pump (if applicable), piping, appurtenances and accessories. New boilers shall be packaged units complete with all necessary operating and safety controls and control panels.
.8 Supply and installation of two (2) new main system circulation pumps complete with all necessary piping and ancillaries.
.9 Supply and installation of two (2) new boiler circulation pumps complete with all necessary piping and ancillaries.
.10 Supply and installation of one (1) new ventilation equipment glycol circulation pump complete with all necessary piping and ancillaries.
.11 Supply and installation of new expansion tank complete with all necessary appurtenances.
.12 Supply and installation of new glycol fill station complete with all necessary appurtenances.
.13 Provide new housekeeping pads designated on the mechanical drawings.
.14 Provide and install new hot water piping and all associated valves, fittings, insulation and supports as required and as shown on drawings
.15 Provide new hot water heating equipment, piping and related appurtenances as shown on drawings.
.16 Provide new chemical treatment system equipment, piping and related appurtenances as shown on drawings.
.17 Control wiring and hook up for two (2) boilers and related heating equipment including pumps.
.18 Installation of control devices.
.19 Perform TAB of hydronic systems for new hot water boiler systems and circulating pump systems.
.20 Provide services of manufacturer’s trained representative to assist in the commissioning and burner set-up of new boilers B-1 & B-2.
.21 Pressure testing of piping system to be witnessed by Owner or Owner’s Representative.
Electrical:
.1 Electrical disconnect of existing motors as identified on drawings; associated wiring and conduit to be removed to the source.
.2 Provide as indicated, and connect all boilers, circulation pumps, and associated operating equipment.
.3 Provide complete grounding as herein specified and indicated on the Drawings. All grounding shall comply with the Canadian Electrical Code and local amendments to this code.
.4 Provide electrical wiring, conduit and other appurtenances required to provide power connections as required from the electrical power distribution panels.
.5 Provide the new electrical panel, Panel 200, and associated circuit breakers in existing main distribution panel, CDP-A, as the power source.
.6 Provide a motor control for power and control of two (7) circulating pumps and two (2) injection pumps (If required). Installation of motor control, thermostat control by Mechanical contract as indicated on the drawings.
.7 All other work as described herein or as shown on the drawings.
