6929-2022/23 - Helicopter flying services for a Geological Survey in the vicinity of Gillam

The Manitoba Geological survey, part of Natural Resources and Northern Development
is seeking wet hourly rate bids for a Bell 206B Jet Ranger equipped with floats. The
professional flying services are required to conduct the project based out of Gillam,
Manitoba (see target areas outlined in pink below), from August 16 to approximately
September 6th (maximum 60 flying hours), using a Bell 206B Jet Ranger equipped
with floats. Much of the work will involve transporting one mapping crew (2 people)
between multiple sites over the course of a single day; site spacing will be highly
variable and will involve small landing spaces. Additional work may be ‘section’ work,
where the mapping crew will land and stay at just one or two sites over a single day.
This section work will be predominately at the circled area below, as well as potentially
along the Little Churchill River. At each site, the field crew will collect heavy samples of
sediment to be transported to the Gillam base.
