Officially opening in 1969, the Ontario Science Centre is a unique attraction where visitors of all ages can learn- through-play and discover ways to think like a scientist every day. Located at 770 Don Mills Road (at the corner of Eglinton Avenue East), the facility offers an interactive science experience to guests complete with exhibitions, IMAX films, interactive demonstrations, programs, and special events.
On April 18, 2023, the provincial government announced the Ontario Science Centre will move to the redeveloped Ontario Place as an anchor tenant – housed in a new custom-built, state-of-the-art facility, as well as in the iconic Cinesphere and Ontario Place Pod Complex.
On May 9, 2024, Infrastructure Ontario released a Request for Qualification for the Ontario Science Centre relocation project. The project will be delivered through the Public, Private, Partnership (P3) model under a Design, Build, Finance and Maintain (“DBFM”) Project Agreement.
To assist in the development of the facilities management output specifications for the Project Agreement, Infrastructure Ontario is seeking a facilities management advisor.
The facilities management advisor will be responsible for providing facilities management advise and expertise on the operations, maintenance and lifecycle services that will be performed by the service provider during the maintenance period of the project.
