Description

1. The Auditor will be required to examine the financial records, systems and controls of the Town of Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove in accordance with the Canadian generally accepted auditing standards and the Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS). The PSAS compliant consolidated financial statements should include four statements:

1. 1. Statements of Financial Position;
  2. Statement of Operations;
  3. Statement of Change in Net Financial Assets (Net Debt); and
  4. Statement of Cash Flow.

In addition, the consolidated financial statements should also include applicable Notes and Schedules. The Town also requires a Reconciliation of Financial Plan to Budget (PSAS).

The Auditor will also be required to provide Annual Expenditure Report - Ultimate Recipient Gas Tax Agreement - on an annual basis in a format as required by the Department of Municipal & Provincial Affairs.

The audit must be completed in the time frame stipulated in Section 92(1) of the Municipalities Act, which is June 1st, and presented by the Auditor to the Corporate Services Committee.
