Defence Construction Canada (DCC) – BN20LV01 – Request for letters of interest: Low Value Design Services, CFB Borden, Ontario
In accordance with the rules, regulations, statutes, guidelines and the professional associations of the Province of Ontario, Defence Construction Canada (DCC) is seeking to establish a lists of architectural and engineering firms interested in providing low dollar value professional services to meet DND requirements at CFB Borden, Ontario as and when required. Lists for the following professional services will be established;
- Architectural
- Structural
- Mechanical
- Electrical
- Civil
Only firms with offices located within a radius of 50 km of the Construction Engineering Building (16 Ramillies Road, Borden, Ontario L0M 1C0) will be considered for inclusion on the list.
Commissions are expected to be valued between $5,000 and $50,000 and should not exceed $100,000. The total amount of opportunities under each professional service list will not exceed $500,000. However, this is not a commitment by DCC to spend this or any amount.
The list is expected to remain in place for a period of two (2) years, or until such time as the opportunities in any given list reaches $500K. DCC reserves the right to suspend or extend the use of the list at any time.
Submissions:
Firms interested in being considered for this list are asked to submit their interest by submitting the Response Form by the Closing date/time indicated in the MERX Electronic Bidding System.
Security Requirements:
There are no security clearance requirements required for inclusion on the source list. However, some commissions may require clearances issued through the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Canada (PWGSC). Firms are highly encouraged to obtain their Designated Organizational Screening (DOS) security status from CISD/PWGSC.
For opportunities containing security provisions, DCC will invite from the Source List the next firm in rotation that holds the required security classification/clearances.
Call-up Process:
Firms will be selected on a rotational basis and invited to confirm they have the qualifications needed to meet the requirements of the opportunity. Once DCC is satisfied that the firm’s qualifications are acceptable, DCC will attempt to negotiate an agreement for the services with the firm. If an agreement cannot be reached, DCC will have the sole right to terminate negotiations at its discretion and will restart the process with the next firm on the rotation.
The consultant and its key personnel shall be, or be eligible to be licensed, certified or otherwise authorized to provide the necessary professional services to the full extent that may be required by provincial or territorial law in the Province or Territory in which the project is located.
This opportunity is not subject to trade agreements.
