This RFP is issued by Colliers Project Leaders Inc. acting on behalf of the Bentway. The Bentway is seeking to retain a Landscape Architect (OALA) licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario that can provide a multidisciplinary team able to address landscape architecture, built form architecture, as Prime Design Consultant for Design Services for Bentway Islands: Dan Leckie Way to Spadina Avenue      

1. 1.  Background
      1. 1. This Project is for design services for the development of the Bentway Islands, which is being proposed for a portion of underused transportation islands between Dan Leckie Way and Spadina Avenue The Bentway Islands project builds on the success of The Bentway Phase 1, The Under Gardiner Public Realm Plan, and recommendations from the City of Toronto for enhanced public amenities for the CityPlace & Canoe Landing neighborhood. Within the Under Gardiner Public Realm Plan the parcels were identified as part of a primary study area entitled “Under Gardiner Islands”.  The site offers unique long-term opportunities for improving critical linkages to the waterfront, enhancing the local climate and ecological landscape, as well as a chance to align with planned Gardiner Expressway Rehabilitation efforts.
