The DRDH provides a range of health care services including long-term care (“LTC”), primary care services and an acute care hospital with 24-hour emergency services. DRDH’s patients, residents and clients come from an area within a 50-kilometer radius which covers the Town of Deep River, part of the Town of Petawawa, and the Townships of Laurentian Hills and Head, Clara and Maria.
DRDH currently operates the NRFHT as the Primary Care business unit of the organization and is currently connected to the DRDH campus. The NRFHT provides access to a number of primary health care services from family doctors, nurse practitioners, registered practical nurses, social workers, dieticians and other allied health professionals who work collaboratively to deliver patient-centered care. Each member of the NRFHT’s interdisciplinary team utilizes their experience and skills so that user groups and patient receive the very best care.
To meet the rising needs of the community, DRDH has proposed to construct a new 11,194 sq-ft single storey primary care building to support the NRFHT. The expansion and redevelopment will provide a continuum of care from primary health, to hospital, to long-term care, all on one site.
The scope of works for the Phase 1 - Enabling Works package of the proposed hospital addition includes the installation of a new heavy-duty access roads, and a light-duty parking lot complete with grading and earthworks.
