It is anticipated that construction will commence in November 2019 and will be completed no later than February 2021.
The project involves various HVAC renovations and upgrades including, but no limited to:
* Provide a BAS upgrade which integrates all existing and new control points into a new building automation system to replace the existing. The new building automation system shall have a new sequence of operation as outlined in the specifications and integrate all control points as indicated in order to optimize efficiency.
* The existing HVAC and distribution system throughout the building shall be re-configured as shown on the drawings and the following systems and related equipment shall be replaced or added as part of this project. This includes, replacement of existing pumps, replacement of existing glycol heat xchanger, new air handling systems (HRU-4, AHU-5, 7w, 7e, and 7c) to replace existing, refurbishment of AHU-1 and 2), new fan-powered boxes, VAV’s and fancoil units throughout the building.
* Provide electrical and structural modifications to suit the above requirements.
* The work will be phased in order to minimize any disruption to the facility and the facility will be in use during the work. Any disruptive or noisy work must be done outside regular business hours including any craning of equipment. A phasing plan will be issued as an addendum to further clarify the exact equirements for work on site. Any work in office or public areas must be done outside regular business hours or as will be indicated in the phasing plan.
* The existing ceilings will need to be temporarily removed and re-instated during any work indicated above the ceiling.
The General Contractor for the project will be subject to a CCDC2 2008 Contract as amended by OILC’s Supplementary Conditions, the most recent version of which is set out in Appendix D. By responding to this Request for Supplier Qualifications contractors acknowledge and accept these conditions. Please note that from time to time OILC amends the Supplementary Conditions. The current version of the Supplementary Conditions will be included in the tender documents. Only pre-qualified General Contractors will be permitted to submit bids for the project.
