Description

The objective for the Designer is to develop a Conceptual Design Requirements Document (CDRD) and conceptual design drawings for a weather cover to prevent and minimise precipitation infiltration into the ECM active disposal cell, the TSWRPA, and to keep the waste dry during waste handling, placement and storage (operation). The CDRD will demonstrate to the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) that the weather cover structure can effectively reduce the generation of wastewater at the NSDF and that operations in NSDF can be managed safely with the weather cover structure in place.
