The Canadian Red Cross (“CRC”) is soliciting information from industry so that it may select service providers for purchase of basic, advanced medical equipment and advanced medical equipment parts to support the on-going needs of the CRC Health Equipment Loan Program.
CRC is looking at putting in place non-exclusive three (3) year term agreements with the option to extend two (2) consecutive (1) year extensions with one or more Successful Bidders.
CRC provides a variety of health equipment loan services across Alberta, British Columbia and Yukon, and operates several health equipment programs tailored to the specific needs of local communities in conjunction with local health authorities.
CRC purchases basic medical equipment, advanced medical equipment and advanced medical equipment parts from time to time to support its loan services as described in the Bidder Response Template (the “Goods”).
CRC’s intention is to have a roster of preferred suppliers with Master Goods Agreements in place in the form set out at Schedule 4, pursuant to which CRC may order Goods in accordance with the process set out below. The Master Goods Agreements will set out the specific Goods, including pricing, delivery times, etc. that will govern the ordering of the Goods.
For clarity, CRC intends to award this RFP to one or more Bidders and nothing in this RFP or Master Goods Agreement grants nor is intended to grant exclusivity or right of first refusal to any specific Bidder.
