The Research, Evaluation and Performance Measurement (REPM) Section undertakes evidence-based research, program evaluation and performance measurement activities related to the Council's priorities and commitments, as well as sector-wide trends in the arts. Our work supports decision-making and promotes the value of the Council's investment in the arts.
In 2019, REPM will launch different online, quantitative and qualitative surveys in order to collect data from grant recipients for program performance measurement purposes (i.e. outcomes reporting), and to demonstrate the impact of its investment.
The selected vendors may be required to perform all or some of the following tasks and activities:
· Design of quantitative and/or qualitative questionnaires,
· Design of statistically representative samples,
· Design, development and administration of online surveys of small and large scale,
· Follow up with potential respondents in order to meet sampling targets,
· Quantitative data and statistical analysis using Microsoft Excel, SPSS and/or similar software,
· Qualitative data analysis using NVivo or similar software, in close collaboration with Canada Council Staff in order to ensure an adequate understanding of the arts and culture sector,
· Data cleaning and merging,
· Creation of charts, tables and other graphical elements in Excel, in both official languages,· Descriptive and inferential statistical analyses of results,
· Data description to facilitate the interpretation of survey tables and results,
· Data visualizations or infographics,
· Interpretation and description of findings,
· Production of research reports in print and electronic formats using the Council's reporting standards and templates, in both official languages,
· Production of research reports in web formats using Microsoft PowerBI, using the Council's reporting standards and templates, in both official languages,
· Production of presentations in PowerPoint, Prezi and/or similar software,
· Delivery of presentations and communication of results,
· Ensure the validation, proofreading and editing of deliverables.
