Established in 2018 by the City of Toronto, CreateTO manages one of North America's largest and most diverse real estate portfolios, with over 8,000 properties. Led by experts in planning, development, property management, and corporate support, the agency is dedicated to maximizing the social, cultural, and economic value of Toronto’s real estate assets.
To further streamline its processes, CreateTO is procuring a new cloud-based Project Management Information System (PMIS) to streamline project planning, tracking, risk management, and reporting. This system will centralize project data, creating a single source of truth for multiple projects, improving information workflow.
CreateTO’s current technology setup includes laptops running Windows, Microsoft 365 for productivity, and SharePoint for document management and collaboration. Staff use iPhones for secure, mobile access to work tools. However, there is no unified PMIS providing real-time project visibility, with teams relying on various tools. Salesforce, available through the City of Toronto's Master Service Agreement, is currently being implemented as the agency’s CRM solution.
