BGIS Global Integrated Solutions Canada LP (BGIS) on behalf of the Infrastructure Ontario Corporation is inviting Consultant firms to submit proposals to provide professional services as detailed in BGIS’s Request for Proposal.
BGIS requires the services of a qualified Consultant for the following project and scope of services:
Description of Project:
As part of a bundle, 3 project are included in this package.
1038775 Roof Replacement
The roof replacement will entail the replacement of the roof on Building B and the center section roof of Building A, also 2 smaller section of roof projecting from the Building B
North and South faces.
The intent of this project is to replace roof sections on Building A and B which were not complete in the 2013 roof replacement project. The inverted roofs of Building A and B are original to the construction of 1991. Typically the inverted roofs are covered with a layer of gravel ballast on top of flexible waterproofing membrane, Polyvinyl Chloride, thermal insulation, of Urethane and isocyanurate boards. Consultant to review the site and provide the best suitable option for this application and design accordingly.
 
1050448 Metal Roofing Renewal
Consultant to review the site and provide the best suitable option for this application and design accordingly. Buildings A, B and C are provided with gabled painted metal roof panels which are original to the construction of the complex. The galvanized steel panels on the roofs of all buildings demonstrated signs of peeling paint, rusted panels and are corroded at various locations. In addition to corroded edges, rusted fasteners and screws were also noted. The roof exhibited signs of previous repairs and paint patching is noted, however, it was not completely successful.
 
1050795 Parapet Restoration
The cap flashing provided on top of the parapet of the building at roof level appeared to be in good condition; however, the caulking between the flashing sheets and along the intersection with walls appeared to be in poor condition; dry cracked and deteriorated. Also several rusted fasteners and cap flashing was observed. The repairs of the parapet will be to the Building B section of the building only. Building A and C have been previously addressed.
 
DSS:
A project specific DSS will be required: the DSS report will capture the 3 projects and will be identified for pricing under project 1038775.
 
Description of Services
The successful consultant is required to provide/comply with the following:

• Site access visits to be coordinated with the site and CBRE FM and/or Technician and/or building occupants.
• Work will occur outside of business hours only.
• Access to the building should remain available all the times.
