Description of Scope of Work and Project:
For technical details a more detailed description of the Scope of Work, refer to Appendix G - Scope of Work and drawings.
The project will consist of removing the existing roof assembly down to the concrete deck and disposal of the same for roof sections 101, 401, 402, 403 & 501. The concrete roof deck will be swept clean and inspected for damage prior to installation of new materials. Notify Consultant of any damages or abnormalities to the roof deck or adjacent surfaces before proceeding. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to ensure the substrate is acceptable to receive the new assembly. Daily roof installation will include all necessary watertight tie-ins to ensure the building and roof assembly remain watertight.
Replacement of stairways, railings, ladders, etc. shall be in accordance with the design intent. Contractor to provide all necessary stamped shop drawings for the Consultant’s approval before proceeding.
The Contractor will be responsible to ensure all adhesives, sealants, etc. is of sufficient type to install during the season construction is scheduled to take place. The Contractor shall provide a letter from the Material Manufacturer to the Consultant confirming the materials will meet the requirements of the specifications and the manufacturers extended warranty.
All work shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements of this specification, the highest levels of roofing practice, current CRCA standards, current OIRCA standards, Ontario Building Code, manufacturer’s recommended procedures, and to the satisfaction of the Owner and the Consultant and/or Engineer.
All construction work is to be performed after-hours and weekends to avoid any disruption to tenants due to noise and odours.
