Description

Sealed bids marked "RFT 5440-21-01 Request for Tender for Construction of the Chippewas of Nawash First Nation Distribution System Upgrades” will be received electronically by Associated Engineering Ont. Ltd. via MERX from pre-qualified contractors based on RTP 21-03 for the Chippewas of Nawash First Nation Distribution System Upgrades, Neyaashiinigmiing, Ontario.

The work involves (but is not limited to) the following:

Repair and replacement of existing watermains will be completed along with expansion of the distribution system into areas of future growth, representing a total of up to approximately 14.5 km of new watermain, including valves and hydrants.
Replacement of the two (2) existing booster pumping stations with new, sized for the current and future conditions. It should be noted that the Owner has entered a formal pre-selection agreement with Engineered Fluid Inc. for the supply of the prefabricated booster pumping stations (contract value of $1,023,190.63). The Owner will novate the pre-selection agreement with Engineered Fluid Inc. for the prefabricated booster pumping stations supply to the General Construction Contractor.
Installation of a pre-fabricated altitude valve chamber.
Replacement of existing water services on new and existing watermains.
Associated site restoration works

NOTE - only the following pre-qualified general contractors will be permitted to submit a tender in response to this request: AECON Water Infrastructure Inc.; BGL Contractors Corp.; and, Bridge Excavating Ltd.

Event Note

A non-mandatory bidders' briefing and site visit will be held. It is in the best interest of the Bidder to attend this briefing. PPE is required and adhereance to all provincial COVID mitigation protocols.
Due to COVID, the reserve is currently closed to outside visitors without permission to enter. A maximum of two attendees per company may attend the briefing. Please submit the names of the attendees no later than 1pm on June 30 so permission to enter the community can be coordinated.
