Algonquin College is implementing a new vendor cloud-based Student Information System (SIS) platform with many complex integrations to other internal systems. As part of the SIS project, known as the ‘R3 Project’, the College requires the services of an Organizational Design Specialist to review and complete an organizational diagnostics in order to advise on design and approaches to meet the changing needs to the College resulting from the implementation of a new Student Information System. To support the R3 Project, the Organizational Design Specialist will assist in establishing necessary steps to ensure that impacted Job Fact Sheets (JFS) and Position Description Forms (PDF) are reviewed and amended, if necessary, as a result of new business processes or standard operating procedures changes due to the implementation of the new system. As such, the candidate must be able to provide expert job evaluation advice and interpretation on organizational and positional designs to meet unique business needs and improve organizational effectiveness. The candidate will assist with forecasting and analyzing human resource planning for roles that will either need to be added or repurposed as a result of the project and support employees with how to adapt to role changes through a structured approach. The Organizational Design Specialist must be experienced in organizational design process and structure in order to provide appropriate advice and recommend options to integrate and align the College’s business strategy, processes, systems, technologies, culture and people as part of the College’s Transformational Project.
