York Support Services Network (YSSN) is an agency funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and the Central LHIN, the Ministry of Community and Social Services and the Ministry of Children and Youth Services. YSSN provides services for children, youth and adults with developmental delays, and adults age 16 years and older with severe and persistent mental illness.
York Support Services Network is an agency with 155 employees currently on group benefits. Employees are eligible for benefits after six months of employment and must work a minimum of 21 hours per week. YSSN is seeking an insurance benefits provider to work with us to best support our employees.
As a non-profit community agency funded by the Ontario Government, YSSN is required to follow the procurement processes outlined in the Broader Public Service Procurement Directives and, as such, we are required to go through a procurement process prior to engaging in any purchase of goods or services above a specified cost threshold. The objective of this particular procurement is as follows:
- To identify an established group benefits provider who is able to provide comprehensive group benefits at a competitive rate to support YSSN employees.
- To identify a group benefits provider with experience working within the not-for-profit sector and who is able to offer flexible group benefits options while keeping costs within our existing budgets.
