Description

Work of this contract includes decommissioning of a landfill site and construction of a new transfer station on the same site. Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following:
• excavation and relocation of waste
• development and restoration of an onsite clay pit source for cap material
•waste leveling/grading and compacting
• supply and placement of a clay cap (approx. 10,000 m3), topsoil and seeding
•drainage works
•chain-link fencing and gates
•expansion of the existing transfer station pad (Granular A & B)
•concrete pads for above ground used oil storage tank, HHW depot and roll-off bins
•supply and installation of a used oil storage tank and pre-fabricated HHW container
•supply and installation of concrete block bunkers for bulky divertible waste
•construction of a pre-engineered building (complete with HVAC system) for attendant’s office, equipment garage and used goods exchange depot
• installation of 100 mm thick asphalt on the transfer station pad (5,568m2)
• extension of 3 phase overhead hydro to the transfer station site (1,730m) - Provisional
• resurface and minor drainage improvements to existing gravel access road to the transfer station (1,670m)
•decommission and installation of monitoring wells and other miscellaneous work
•there is a mandatory bidders’ meeting scheduled for November 8th, 2019 at 10:00am, meeting at the Wiikwemkoong Administration office 19 A Complex Drive Wikwemikong, Ontario
