Description

The University of Toronto is seeking responses to this RFP from qualified Architects (or teams of Architects) for professional services related to the design and construction of Indigenous House at the University of Toronto Scarborough campus. Indigenous House at UTSC will be a highly visible building at the heart of the campus that is an innovative and contextually, historically and culturally sensitive space. The building will exemplify, in broad terms, Indigenous cultural values with a focus on scholarship and the revitalization of endangered Indigenous languages. The Indigenous House will provide space for teaching, research, reflection and ceremony for Indigenous students, faculty and staff as well as the non-Indigenous campus community.

Proponents are to submit one (1) original, ten (10) hard copies and one (1) electronic copy (.pdf format on USB) of the Proposal in an opaque sealed envelope bearing the Proponent’s name and return address, together with the Project name and number and the words “Proposal Submission P200-19-081: Indigenous House University of Toronto Scarborough” clearly marked. Key components of the proposal are listed in Part E: Submission Requirements. Proposals shall be delivered to the address noted below before 3:00:00 PM on July 3, 2019 (the “Submission Deadline”):
