Description

The University is seeking to shortlist up to four engineering practices for professional services related to the concept design of energy generation, distribution and transition through Nodal sites. Geothermal energy storage central to the UMP will connect to Nodal heat pumps with local heat recovery systems to maximize efficiency. Professional services will then extend to the detailed design and construction of multiple energy nodal plants and associated energy distribution. The shortlisted practices will specialize in energy plant and distribution design. This RFSQ represents the first part of a two-stage process. Shortlisted Respondents will be invited to submit a response to a subsequent RFP document.

At this point, the University is not expecting profiles of joint-venture engineers for those firms requiring a local partner or the sub-consultants that will be required to complete the team.

Respondents are to upload one (1) electronic copy (.pdf format) to MERX. The cover sheet of the RFSQ document will bear the Proponent’s name together with the Project name and number and the words “Proposal Submission P999-20-182: St. George Campus Energy Nodal Plants” clearly marked.

The term “local time” shall mean the time as measured by the time clock maintained by MERX.

Each Proponent is responsible for the upload of its response document to MERX. Proposals transmitted by email or sent by any other electronic means will not be considered or opened. Proponents will not be able to upload their document after the submission deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted via any other means. No exceptions will be made in the case of late delivery - including but not limited to – internet connection problems.
