P078-19-119 - McLennan Physical Laboratories Chilled and Heating Water Systems Upgrade

The University seeks to replace the 250 Ton R22 chiller plant with a 150 Ton Air cooled chiller and a 150 Ton heat recovery chiller and modify piping to separate the high temperature loop from the low temperature loop to allow for utilization of the heat recovery chiller. The design will include reconfiguring the Laser Lab fan coil loop so it is served directly from the base building loop, and design of the base building loop controls to ensure the Laser Lab air handling and fan coil units have year round cooling. Provision of new DDC controls and upgrading existing controls from pneumatic to DDC to achieve a fully integrated BAS system is also required. To achieve additional energy savings the project scope includes the conversion of the constant flow to variable flow chilled and heating water flow with all required control additions and upgrades.
