Description

The University of Toronto is seeking responses to this RFP from qualified Architects for professional services relating to the Galbraith Structural Testing Facility at the St. George campus.
The Department of Civil & Mineral Engineering (CivMin) would like to conduct a Feasibility Study for the revitalization of their existing Structural Testing Facility. The proposed construction work is part of the long-term initiative to design and build the world’s first Adjustable Multi-Dimensional (AMD) Loading System in the Structural Testing Facilities at the University of Toronto.
The Feasibility Study will determine the cost of renovation and feasibility of the design. The Department of Civil & Mineral Engineering request that the Feasibility Study to be structured in three distinct Project Areas with a cost break-down for each area. This feasibility study is Part 1 in a potential two part process, where, if the project is deemed to be feasible at the conclusion of Part 1 by the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering, the consultant team may be invited to implement these improvements in full or in part (Part 2).
