P033-19-194 - Architectural Services for the Huron Street Commons at Sidney Smith Hall

The University of Toronto is seeking responses to this RFP from qualified Architects for professional services relating to the Huron Street Commons at Sidney Smith Hall at the St. George campus.   
Building on the success of the Sidney Smith Commons along the east face, which opened its doors to students in October 2018, the Huron Street Commons will provide space, technology and services to support Arts & Science students’ learning.  Like the Sidney Smith Commons, the Huron Street Commons will provide learning support programs and services, including, peer academic coaching; access to learning strategists, technology and media supports; student “toolkits” (bundles of resources on specific topics like academic integrity) and information on the impact of health and well-being on student academic success.  The Huron Street Commons functionally and spatially integrates academic support with information technology and academic wayfinding to provide a continuum of support to students. It is a dynamic place that encourages learning through inquiry, collaboration, discussion and consultation.   
The renovation area is 345 sq. m.
