Description:
The electromagnetics group within the Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, is seeking to acquire a mm-wave Spherical Near-Field Antenna Scanning System supporting full spherical measurements, to complement an existing near-field spherical scanner operating up to 50 GHz. The system is intended to work with instrumentation recently acquired by the group to conduct mm-wave measurements up to 750 GHz. A maximum operating frequency of 500 GHz is anticipated for the scanner, with near-field measurements being conducted in the low-frequency range and far-field measurements in the higher frequency range, as appropriate and dictated by the antenna under test. The system will allow researchers to measure antenna patterns and other field information useful for validating new research concepts being developed at the University of Toronto.
