DESCRIPTION OF PROCUREMENT
The University is conducting an RFP for Radio Telescope Observations of Pulsars and Fast Radio Bursts in Ontario.
The Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics at the University of Toronto wishes to enter in a service contract with a professional, highly qualified and experienced scientific technology company to provide access to Radio Telescope facilities for scientific data collection on a pre-schedule basis. The Facility will be used primarily for scientific research into the astrophysical phenomena of pulsars and fast radio bursts, in conjunction with scheduled observations with pre-existing facilities, including the Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory and the Canadian Hydrogen Intensity Mapping Experiment.
This comprehensive coverage includes the use of a 40-meter and 10-meter class radio telescopes, as well as support for their operation and the deployment of scientific equipment on these facilities. The University requires a Proponent to provide access to facilities housing 40 meter and 10 meter radio telescopes.
The procurement is anticipated to involve negotiation. An electronic auction is not anticipated.

The University will base its selection of qualified suppliers on the following criteria:
