Description:
The University wishes to purchase brand new laundry equipment for its two student family housing residence buildings located at 30 and 35 Charles Street West in Toronto, Ontario to replace the current fleet of laundry equipment. In addition to the purchase of the equipment, the University wishes to enter into a service contract with the Successful Proponent to provide ongoing services necessary to keep the equipment in good working order throughout the term of the agreement.

The Charles Street Student Family Housing facilities are comprised of two hi-rise residential buildings located near Yonge and Bloor Streets in Toronto. The University houses approximately combined 2,000 people in 711 apartments.

The current fleet of laundry equipment is owned by the University.

Time-Frame for Delivery/Duration of Agreement:
The term of the agreement is to be for a period of five (5) years with an option to extend the agreement on the same terms and conditions to two one (1) year terms. It is anticipated that the agreement will be executed on or around June 2018.

Negotiation:
At the end of the evaluation process, the University of Toronto may identify one or more suppliers with whom it wishes to enter into negotiations, by written notification.

Electronic Auction:
The process does not involve an electronic auction.

There will be a mandatory site visit for this RFP on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, 10:00 am for approximately one and a half (1.5) hours. The site visit will be at the 30 and 35 Charles Street West.

Proponents are to meet the Building Operations Manager in the Residence Office of Student Family Housing, 35 Charles Street West, Toronto, Ontario M4Y 1R6 (lobby).
A maximum of two (2) representatives will be permitted for each Proponent submitting a Proposal in response to this RFP.

If a Proponent does not attend the Mandatory Site Visit, their Proposal submission to this RFP will not be considered further for evaluation.
