DESCRIPTION OF PROCUREMENT
The University is conducting an RFP for Fixed-Base Robot Arms
The University of Toronto is looking to purchase a series of fixed-base robotic arms of varying sizes from the same robot family and with similar morphologies and software interfaces. The target tools should facilitate the robust transfer of samples and small-scale equipment between characterization modules. The robotic arms will be used to pick and transfer reaction samples, chemicals, vials, and small pieces of equipment around a limited space. Moreover, robots need to manipulate objects physically in the lab space. We require a fixed-based robot with a 6-axis or 7-axis arm compatible with code (primarily python but also C++) developed outside the robot ecosystem and laboratory-aware design.
The procurement is anticipated to involve negotiation. An electronic auction is not anticipated.
