DESCRIPTION OF PROCUREMENT:
The University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) campus is working to implement a full Asset Management (AM) program for linear assets that include: roads, sidewalks/pathways, parking lots, streetlights, sports fields, water assets, wastewater assets, stormwater assets, utilities tunnel, geothermal system, transit assets, telecommunications, gas, and hydro. UTM will focus on projects that build a foundation for Asset Management at UTM, particularly focused on compiling an asset inventory/register and to support AM practices and framework/strategies that will be applied consistently across all asset groups. Additionally, an approach will be developed to support optimized, evidence, and risk-based decision-making going forward. UTM needs to develop an AM system that will become a fully functional tool to help identify and justify asset investment needs. This project will build the foundation of the system and enable UTM to implement strategies to perform AM effectively and make data-driven evidenced based decisions on their assets.
