DESCRIPTION OF PROCUREMENT
The Division of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation at the University of Toronto (U of T) is seeking an electronic tool to manage the entire lifecycle of research ethics protocols for human and/or animal research.
This tool will support U of T faculty in the submission, review, and approval of protocols for use of animals or humans in research, including office and ethics committee/board review, animal facilities (vivarium) management, and storage of all documentation to support these lifecycles.
We have approximately 7,500 monthly users of the platform, and 1,200 animal ethics protocol documents and 7,300 human protocol documents annually.
This is a multi-category RFP and the two categories are as follows:
Category 1: Animal Use Protocols (AUP) and Animal Facilities Management Module(s)
Category 2: Human Protocols (HP) Module
Category 1 and Category 2 may be awarded to two different Proponents. Proponents may submit Proposals for one or both categories. The University may award each category to a different Proponent, or both categories to the same Proponent.
Proponents should submit their Proposals for each category separately on Bonfire.
The base term of the Agreement is 5 years with option, at the University’s sole and absolute discretion, to extend for two additional periods of one (1) year each.
