Description

New regulatory requirements concerning the 600MHz spectrum require an update to our wireless transmitters and receivers. ISED Canada is repurposing the 600MHz band which affect our low-power radios. We will be prohibited from using the band as there will be interference between 600MHz devices and new wireless carriers that are licensed to use the 600MHz band.

As such, TVO is looking for a quote to procure the transmitters, receivers, and other supporting equipment for our microphones. TVO will continue to use their existing lavalier mics.

Requirements:

TVO uses various Lectrosonics products for wireless communications in the Broadcast Studio, Control Room and in the Field. The Host, Camera Operators, Director, Audio Technician and the entire production team are equipped in order to communicate effectively. Lectrosonics’ products are also used for recording/broadcasting the audio of the hosts and guests to be heard by viewers.
TVO will retain our investment in unaffected Lectrosonics equipment and procure only supporting Lectrosonics products that meet the outlined requirements and operate in the new spectrum.
