Southbridge Care Homes (CVH (No. 2) LP) has retained Traugott Building Contractors Inc. (TBCI) to be their Construction Manager to construct their new Long Term Care Residences & Senior Living Apartments located at 1955 Valley Farm Road, Pickering, Ontario.
This Development will consist of two (2) 275,126 Square Foot, 15-storey Long-Term Care (LTC) Buildings and one (1) 196,845 square foot, 15-storey apartment building. This will be a multi-phased construction project. The first phase will be to construct the first of the two 15-storey LTC buildings in the Southwest corner of the site, with associated site works. Later phases will consist of the decommissioning and demolition of the existing 1 & 2-storey structures and remediation of the site to construct the two remaining structures. You are welcome to visit the site location on your own, there will be no scheduled site walk. TERMS:
- The Tenderer may amend their Tender prior to the Tender Closing Date/Time.
- The Tenderer shall keep their Tender open for acceptance and irrevocable until 60 days have elapsed from the closing date of the Tender, or a formal Subcontract is executed.
- The awarding of the Subcontract, based on this Tender, shall constitute and be an acceptance of this Tender, and Traugott shall notify the successful Tenderer of the subcontract award.
- Traugott reserves the right to extend the Tender Closing Date/Time.
- If a Tender contains a defect or fails in some way to comply with the requirements of the Tender Documents, which in the sole discretion of Traugott is not material, Traugott may waive the defect or irregularity and accept the Tender.
- Traugott shall not be liable for any costs, expenses, loss or damage incurred, sustained or suffered by a Tenderer prior, or subsequent to, or by reason of the acceptance or the non-acceptance by Traugott of any Tender, or by the reason of any delay in acceptance of a Tender, except as provided in the Tender Documents.
- Traugott reserves the right to reject any or all Tenders.
- The lowest price is not the only criterion on which Tenders will be assessed and selected. The selection of the successful Tender is subject to the approval of Traugott. Traugott has the right not to select any of the Tenders and may cancel the invitation to Tender and may then issue a new invitation to Tender.
- Tenders received after the Tender Closing Date/Time will not be accepted.
- All Tenders shall be priced clearly identifying quoted sections and must include a complete list of inclusions and exclusions.
- Tender prices should be separated if more than one item is priced.
- The Prime Contract including Supplementary Conditions shall be included in and form part of the Tender Documents. By submitting a Tender, the Tendered acknowledges it is bound to the Prime Contract including Supplementary Conditions.
- By submitting its Tender, the Tenderer shall be bound to all Tender Documents and is required to review site conditions prior to submitting their Tender.
- If your Tender is accepted by Traugott, the successful Tenderer shall sign and return the Stipulated Price Subcontract, Standard Construction Document CCA 1 – 2008 including Traugott’s Supplementary Conditions. The Tenderer acknowledges it is not entitled to payment on invoices until it has returned a signed Subcontract.
- This Invitation to Tender shall be included in and form part of the Tender Documents.
- Traugott is bound by agreements with the Labourer’s International Union or North America and the Carpenters District Council of Ontario, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. Any and all works claimed by these unions shall be completed by members of same.
