Description

The Township of Black River-Matheson is requesting bids for supplying the screened sand, labour and equipment necessary to produce 4,120 tones of winter salt-sand. The contractor will need to procure and provide 4,000 tonnes of screened sand.
The township will supply the salt required to complete the work. The salt will be stockpiled at the Public Works shop at 1115 Vimy Ridge Rd., Matheson. An alternate location my be requested by the winning bidder to facilitate ease of production. The contractor will be required to mix the materials according to the methods in this tender package before stockpiling in the dome.
Highway course salt shall be mix thoroughly at a 3% concentration with the screened sand to provide a consistent ration throughout the stockpile.
