Description

This project involves the construction of a new fire station in Augusta Township. The approximately 14,000 sq. ft., one storey fire station will be located in Maitland. The site is bounded by County Road 15 and Church Street and is on the site of the existing main fire station at 19 Church Street.
A well will provide the water service to the building. Three phase power, natural gas, Bell telephone, and fiber optic internet are also located near this area. An on-site septic system will be part of the project. This project also includes the demolition and removal of the existing station following the occupancy of the new fire station.
The proposed post disaster building consists of six drive-through vehicle bays, storage mezzanine, training room, kitchen, and office area. Construction is scheduled to commence in July 2018, pending funding availability.
