As part of an Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED)-funded initiative, Tourism HR Canada is
working with its principle partner, Canada’s LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC), to deliver a responsive, comprehensive and sustainable LGBTQ2 Tourism Market Ready Program aimed at helping tourism businesses and communities develop a lucrative and fast-growing LGBTQ2 market. A series of Inclusion workshops, Market Ready seminars, Destination Audits, Business Accreditations and Training of (local) Trainer sessions are being delivered across Canada.
Tourism HR Canada (THRC) and Canada’s LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC) are seeking a vendor to engage and seek tourism businesses and stakeholders across Canada to participate in the various inclusion workshops, seminars and other activities delivered under the National LGBTQ2 Tourism project. Our greatest barrier to this project will be recruitment due to the impacts of the COVID-19 crisis. As tourism stakeholders have shifted their attention to COVID-19 recovery measures, we need to first understand their current priorities and how they may be able to participate in the workshops and other activities moving forward. A strong marketing plan and recruitment strategy will be required from the chosen vendor.
