Description

The research will be an update of Tourism HR Canada’s Labour Supply and Demand Project, which was previously conducted in 2018/2019. Based on the analysis in 2019, which was prior to the pandemic, the projections revealed that 93,000 tourism jobs could go unfulfilled with respect to the demand due to a lack of workers. In addition to the econometric modelling, the project included a survey of 400 tourism-related businesses across the country. The survey takes into account labour issues, business performance and their expectations in the coming years.
