Professional Services Role Name: SAP Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Experience:
Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related discipline
Minimum 5 years professional experience in blueprinting, configuring, or supporting at least one of the following SAP products: SAP S/4HANA Finance modules, SAP Public Sector Management (PSM), SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), or SAP Analytics Cloud (AC)
The SAP Subject Matter Expert (SME) role has been approved for a hybrid work schedule 60% in the office and up to 40% remote (e.g. from home). When in office the main location of the engagement will be at Toronto Police Headquarters, 40 College Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5G 2J3.
Description of Work
- Review processes and practices in the Finance domain currently supported by SAP ERP system
- Gather requirements for existing functions to keep and improvements to implement such as service-based budgeting and reporting
- Propose solutions within project technical SAP scope or other SAP products that will keep, improve, or contribute to the improvement of the organizational efficiency
- Review fit/gap lists, process diagrams, and design documents to ensure future design supports organizational functions and security considerations
- Coordinate and cooperate with various project stakeholders to ensure future design and build meets TPS requirements
- Assist in business process documentation, data cleaning, and testing activities as required
Must have Knowledge of the following SAP S/4 HANA Finance modules and features:
- Financial Accounting (FI)
- General Ledger Accounting (FI-GL) with focus on Universal Ledger based reporting and options to enhance the coding block
- Global Hierarchies including creation and use of custom hierarchies
- Controlling (CO)
- Universal Allocations
- Cost Center Accounting (CO-OM-CCA) including planning and reporting
- Internal Orders (CO-OM-OPA) including capital investment orders used as Investment Measures
- Integration with Funds Management (PSM-FM)
- Project System (PS)
- Capital projects with WBS elements used as Investment Measures
- Cost Planning and Budgeting on WBS elements
- Integration with Funds Management (PSM-FM)
Term of the Contract
The term of this contract is for a period commencing on or before Tuesday September 13, 2022 (pending security background checks) to March 12, 2023 with three (3) 6-month options to extend.
