Description

The intent of the project is have to have a qualified Pavement Contractor and related subcontractors replace the asphalt pavement in this lot, along with the necessary granular base as outlined in the engineered design attached. This work includes but not limited to:

Replacement of existing asphalt pavement.
Blending in the asphalt to the adjacent access to other parking aisles and lots.
Reclamation of existing asphalt for reuse and compaction.
Line painting of new parking areas and bus turning area.

As the College is open even in summer months, the successful contractor will need to effectively control traffic to keep vehicles away from this point and ensure a safe environment for visitors to the College during the course of the work. While it is recognised that Pavement Contractors are extremely busy this time of year, it is important that this work be completed during the summer.

This project must be completed on or before September 1st, 2017 as the students return in the fall and the residence will be at full capacity.
