St. Lawrence College has received funding through the Post-Secondary Institutions Strategic Investments Fund (SIF). The SIF is a time-limited program that will provide up to $2 billion to accelerate strategic construction, repair and maintenance activities at universities and colleges across Canada. This Request for Tender (“RFT”) issued by St. Lawrence College of Applied Arts and Technology (hereinafter called “the College”) is an invitation to submit offers for the purpose of providing General Contracting Services for St. Lawrence College, located at 100 Portsmouth Avenue in Kingston, Ontario. The Stage 4 renovation project will transform the existing historically designated Newcourt House with an area of approximately 5,000ft2 into a Behavioral Sciences Complex. This space will be made available for construction as soon as students vacate the space at the end of the fall term in December, 2017. This renovation must be completed by August 17th, 2018. The Newcourt House is a circa 1840 historically designated Regency home (5,000 ft2). Its renovation into a Behavioural Sciences Centre will target LEED certified designation through the Canada Green Building Council. The project has been registered through the LEED (2009) and the LEED checklist is provided in the specification package.
