19-RFT-0102-00K - General Contracting Services Sustainable Living Centre Renovation (Phase 1)

The Kingston Campus of St. Lawrence College has been undergoing major upgrades recently in the area of Student Services, Davies Hall, the main lobby and a large venue/gymnasium space.  This project will be carried out in the area of the original gymnasium, now being vacated. This project involves renovating the existing space and creating a work space for larger scale trades and sustainable energy and applied trades space (SEARC). Included in this project will be upgrades such as removal of the gymnasium flooring, painting, concrete flooring treatment, lighting/electrical upgrades, an overhead loading door and new access-way through existing walls from the main trades’ space.  The work will need to be carried out while the other areas of the building continuing to be used for students/classes. This portion of the building was constructed in early 1970s. The work included in this scope is mainly to allow the trades/energy programs to use the gymnasium space and future phase(s) (not in this contract) will include additional energy upgrades and renovations to the existing storage/office/washroom and shower areas.
