Description

St. Lawrence College is seeking proposals from qualified Elevator Contractors to submit in accordance to this non-binding RFP.

The intent of the project is have to have a qualified contractor carry out the replacement of various elevator components and complete a modernization as outlined in the specifications, including but not limited to:
•          Modernization of the car, controls and hallway doors
•          Replacement of the geared traction elevator system
•          Accessibility/Barrier Free upgrades under Part 3 of the Ontario Building code and referenced Standards.
•          Upgrades to the communication system, fire signaling, and various electrical upgrades
•          Upgrading of related equipment, electrical wiring, controls, and safety improvements
The end result is to have a safe and reliable elevator system, which will reduce costs through unscheduled maintenance and energy, while greatly reducing and possible environmental risks.
Work on site is to commence May 1, 2019 and is required to be completed no later than August 1, 2019.
