Description

The intent of the project is to have a qualified contractor (and related subcontractors) carry out the cleaning of sewers as needed, removal and capping of some areas which are creating combined sewers, and replacement of various portions of sewers. This work includes but not limited to:

Making one portion of storm sewer redundant and replacing with a new line.
Removing linkage sewer lines/overflow weirs between storm and sanitary drains
Capping of unused inlets and cleaning of storm sewers and catch basins.
Installing new PVC storm sewer sections.

As the College will be in full operation open during this work, the Successful Contractor will need to effectively control traffic to keep vehicles away from areas where work is being done such as the laneway between buildings, allow access during normal hours of service, and ensure a safe environment for visitors to the College during the course of the work. While it is recognised that Contractors are extremely busy this time of year, it is important that this work be completed before December 2017. Access to the site after hours and on weekends will be permitted and for work on the main entrance lanes is expected to avoid traffic interference and risks to pedestrians.

This project must be completed on or before December 1st, 2017.
