The Scope consists of the renovation of the existing Municipal Garage building located at 19686 William Street in the village of Williamstown, Ontario. The building is presently a six bay vehicle maintenance/storage garage having four bays on the north side and three bays on the south side with ancillary services along the south-west side of the building. The intent of this renovation is to create a new Fire Hall in the north bays, provide new washrooms and training hall in the south area.
The existing exterior siding of the building will be removed and replaced with new sheet metal siding. A new timber frame canopy entrance and new signage will be constructed.
A new 35,000-gallon underground water storage tank w/ pump and controls will be installed in the southeast parking lot at a future time. All described electrical and plumbing services within the building are to be included in the current project with the aim that the future tank and exterior pumps can be installed and connected without subsequent building renovations.
The interior renovation consists of; extensive electrical equipment relocation and concrete demolition, installation of an in-floor radiant heating system, a new workshop, utility room, washroom facilities and training room. The interior vehicle bays will be finished with interior metal liner and new lighting throughout. One overhead door will be in-filled on the north side and three new overhead doors will replace the existing overhead doors. New interior and exterior man doors will be installed and existing walls painted throughout as per the detail drawings.
