The following is a general but not necessarily complete description of the works to be constructed
under this contract:
- Rehabilitation of the existing steel bridge structure including removal of the existing timber
deck structure and replacement with a new steel beam and grating deck structure.
- New concrete approach at abutment walls.
- New vehicle and pedestrian guard rail.
- New load posting signage
- New steel beam and wood post guiderail at approaches (PROVISIONAL).

Additional Bidding Instructions

Bidders shall provide digital submissions of the tender documents by email to kcampeau@southglengarry.com up to the tender closing deadline. The last tender received shall supersede and invalidate all tenders previously submitted by the tenderer for this contract. A confirmation of receipt will be returned to the tenderer via email. A hard copy submission of the two lowest submissions shall then be mailed or delivered to the Township upon request.
a) Hard copy submissions prior to the tender closing deadline will not be accepted.
All digital copies must be received electronically by the date and time requirements stated in the
contract, as determined by the Township of South Glengarry’s clock. Bidders may call the
Township to synchronize with their clock if needed. Emails sent before the closing time but
received by the Township’s email address (see above) after the closing time do not satisfy the
time requirements. It is the bidder’s responsibility to ensure the email is delivered to the email
address by the time specified. Bidders are encouraged to submit a test email to confirm proper
delivery and delivery time requirements
