TA1 - 02.01222 - TP03N Form/Place/Finish (L1-Roof)

This is a 2 Envelope Tender - refer to Part A - Instructions to Bidders.

In accordance with Part B - Scope of Work, this Subontractor to provide all labour, material, equipment, and supervision required to provide the design, supply and installation of concrete formwork complete with the placement, finishing and curing of concrete for all concrete elements in Centre Block Levels 1-Roof noted in the drawings – Part C – Tender Package Documents (not published to MERX.)

A Mandatory Site Visit will be held at a date to be determined. Details will follow by Addendum - refer to Part A - Instructions to Bidders, item 16.2.

1. 2. The Subcontractor is responsible for the placement of concrete slabs on metal deck.

1. 3. The Subcontractor to include for the material handling and installation of all embedments, cast-in miscellaneous metals, and blockouts in accordance with the drawings and specifications.

1. 4. The Subcontractor is to include for Tower Liners noted in the 4 North Towers shown in the DD2 Structural Set in Part C – Tender Package Documents.

1. 5. The Subcontractor to include for the supply and installation of grout required for the installation of embedments and cast-in miscellaneous metals.

1. 6. The Subcontractor to include for the drilling and installation of dowels and anchors, including the supply of grout and/or epoxy, into existing structures. Supply of dowels and anchors by others.

1. 7. The Subcontractor to include for the installation of slip dowels. Supply by others.

1. 8. The Subcontractor to include for housekeeping pads and curbs as identified in the drawings.

1. 9. The Subcontractor to include for the supply and installation of structural thermal break material.

1. 10. The Subcontractor to include for the supply and installation of floating slabs isolation pads where required in the drawings in Part C – Tender Package Documents.

1. 11. This Subcontractor to provide and maintain all safety barriers, hand and perimeter guardrails at slab edges and openings until the structure phases are complete. The Subcontractor is responsible for the removal of their safety barriers. The CM will maintain the safety barriers and guardrails after the completion of each structure phase.

1. 12. This Subcontractor is responsible for Final Clean Up as noted in Part A – Instructions to Bidders, item 33.0. For this Scope of Work, the Subcontractor is to include for broom sweeping of all floors to the acceptance of the CM once all formwork material is removed from a floor and all grinding, chipping and patching is complete.

1. 13. The Subcontractor to include in their lump sum pricing in Part D – Envelope 2 – Financial Package Appendix A – Tender Breakdown for thermal pre-pour preparation, monitoring, controlling, protecting, curing, etc. as per the specification requirement of three (3) days of concrete cure post pour, for all concrete pours. The Subcontractor to refer to Sample Thermal Control Plan for Potential Thermal Control Measures which will be shared prior to work start. The Subcontractor will receive access to the data logger information required for the execution of the thermal monitoring. The supply and installation of the data loggers is by the CM. The Subcontractor to include for continuous monitoring to ensure on site conditions are as per specification requirements and up to and including full-time onsite personnel to make adjustments to adhere to the specification requirements and information received by the data loggers.

1. 14. This Subcontractor to provide proper access to all formwork areas, slabs, etc. for layout, inspections, testing, and for work to be performed by others throughout the scope of this work.

1. 15. The Subcontractor to coordinate concrete quantities and volume take offs with the CM.

1. 16. This Subcontractor is to include for all pumping of concrete from ground floor up to the roof (including penthouses and towers).

1. 17. The Subcontractor to provide input for lift drawings for all concrete elements produced by the CM. Drawings shall identify all dimensional data showing slab edge, vertical height of pour, embedded parts, sleeves, openings, etc. Input on the drawings are required to be submitted to the CM for review a minimum of three weeks prior to pouring of elements contained on drawings.

1. 18. Further to Part A – Instructions to Bidders, Item 30.0 Layout, the Subcontractor to provide pre-pour and post-pour surveys to the CM where applicable.

1. 19. The scopes of work will be further detailed in Site Instructions (SIs).  Budgets for each SI will be prepared by the subcontractor at the draft and final stages for review by the CM and the client. This scope of work also includes reviewing draft & final SIs for constructability.
