Description

1. Ornge Background

Ornge is a family of companies, some incorporated federally and others in the Province of Ontario. Ornge provides air and land ambulance services under an agreement with the Ministry of Health. Included in the functions of Ornge are the roles inherent in the procurement, maintenance, dispatch, staffing and operation of a fleet of fixed wing and rotor wing aircraft. The medical teams provide services aboard aircraft and vehicles staffed with highly trained paramedics and pilots. Further, Ornge has a small fleet of critical care land ambulances, offering services at specific locations around the province. Ornge has more than 600 employees, including paramedics, paediatric transport paramedics, pilots, aircraft maintenance engineers, transport medicine physicians, corporate support staff and a team of educators and researchers. 1. Objective

Ornge requires propane to operate the furnace/heating to Ornge’s base located at 27 Airport Road and the crew house located at 15 Wabun Road in Moosonee.
To the best of our knowledge, Superior Propoane is the only source offering these goods/services and it is therefore our intention to enter into contract discussions with this vendor. The intention is to enter into an Agreement(s) for 3 years plus 2 x 1 option years.
This is an Advanced Contact Award Notice (ACAN) with the intention to:

notify the vendor community that we believe there is only one source for goods/services described herein;
notify the vendor community that we plan to enter into contract with said source for these goods/services; and
allow for other vendors to submit notice that they also offer such goods/services.

Providers compliant to the requirements set forth herein may submit their interest and statement of capabilities, in writing, to the contact person identified in this ACAN on or before the closing date below.
Should any other potential suppliers be identified during the posting period, Ornge will proceed to invite all compliant Respondents to participate in a competitive procurement process.
If no other compliant supplier submits their interest, on or before the closing date of this ACAN, the competitive requirements of Ornge are considered to have been met. Following notification to any suppliers not successful in demonstrating that they meet the requirements set out in this ACAN, the contract may then be awarded to the pre-identified supplier.
Although this ACAN is being issued by Ornge, the benefit may, on notice, be assigned to another Ornge related entity or Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario as represented by the Ministry of Health. In any such event all references to Ornge herein shall be read exclusively as references to such other Ornge related entity or Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario as represented by the Ministry of Health.

1. Response Submission:

To be eligible for consideration, response (including statement of capabilities) must be received via email or MERX submission by the Response Deadline, that being November 22, 2024 @ 2:00:00 pm Eastern Time., at the following address:

Ornge shall reject Responses transmitted by facsimile or other means. Responses not received at the above email by the Response Deadline for any reason, including Responses that are delivered after the Response deadline due to technical issues, late delivery due network/internet service provider downtime or Responses that are delivered to another email address before the deadline but arrive at the above email after the Submission Deadline shall be rejected.
